The Wide Leg Crop – Denim Edition

    Wide Leg Crop Denim cover

Last week, I wrote about my newfound love for a wide leg cropped pair of trousers. This week I’m in the same style, but with this indigo denim pair from trusty Marks & Spencer. They’ve appeared on the blog a couple of times before, and I always seem to style them the same way. The waistband sits at the perfect height for tucking in a fitted tee, or a jersey vest like this one below.

    The Wide Leg Crop

Perpetually behind in the world of fashion trends, I have only really just got into the wide leg crop. But boy am I into it now, a couple of years after it was first “a thing”. A wide leg is comfortable and flattering, and easier to find a good fit than its skinny counterpart. The slight crop (very slight on me as I’m on the shorter side) flashes a bit of ankle for a more summery vibe. Most styles around in stores at the moment are high waisted, which totally works for me. For someone my height, a wide leg crop with a regular rise might make me look rather stumpy. Topshop call theirs awkward trousers, which amuses me greatly.

    Underwear as Outerwear

Just a quick post today from our local. I roped my other half into joining me after work for a quick pint to make the most of the sunshine. He kindly took these snaps for me, but as you’ll see further below, they didn’t all turn out quite right! I thought I’d keep them in though, to show the lighter side of blogging.

Polka Dot top in the Park

The spring green grass and flat light put a yellowy green colour cast over the pictures, and I’m nowhere near skilled enough to correct it properly! That being said, I still really like this outfit and wanted to share the images.┬áNothing here is brand new, but as is so often the case, this is the first time I’m wearing these pieces together.
