It wasn’t until I was listing the items in this outfit for this post that I realised I’m almost decked out head to toe in items from Collectif. I bought this skirt recently on a chilled visit to Spitalfields market. I love the ease of shopping online, but sometimes it’s nice to actually go into a store and try a piece on. My intention was only to browse, but this skirt was in the sale and I just couldn’t resist! I love the pale green colour, and it has pockets! The stiff cotton is comfy and practical, and it’s a flattering length, sitting just below the knee. Long enough to be smart, short enough to still be summery! This gorgeous dress is another of my January sales purchases and I just love it! It’s from the Collectif Bright & Beautiful range, and I picked it up in their half price winter sale. The fabric is slipperly, with almost a scuba-like feel to it. I was worried this might feel a bit artificial, but it actually helps the dress to sit nicely and creates a flowy silhouette. It’s long enough to be able to wear without tights once the temperatures rise, but short enough to maintain that 60’s vibe. The high, wide neckline really balances the dimensions of this dress too. More sunshine, huzzah! I grabbed these shots on my way back from a pub lunch, where my friend and I sat outside. In March! I’ve worn this pencil dress a few times previously, in fact it featured on my first ever outfit blog post back in March last year. As wiggle dresses go, it’s fairly comfortable and easy to wear. The structured cotton and slightly looser fit mean it’s not too figure hugging, and the front pleat allows room to walk in normal sized steps. Continue reading “Lulu Hun wedges and a pencil dress”
I’m a massive fan of vintage reproduction companies. I’ve always admired people who fully commit to the vintage style, whether it be through seeking out a true vintage wardrobe, or through reproduction brands who batch produce modern pieces in vintage styles. I’m not going to wax lyrical about my love for this Warehouse jumper, as I raved about it a couple of weeks ago and I don’t want to sound like a stuck record. Same goes for this Collectif swing coat, I just love it so much! The houndstooth, the volume, the faux fur – together they make the perfect winter coat. It’s sunny but it’s still cold, so I’ve grabbed my old, old tortoiseshell sunnies to go with my enormous faux fur coat. I wanted to go dancing today, unfortunately I didn’t get out of work in time but I still dressed the part! Continue reading “Leopard and Red and Faux Fur again”
I’m wearing 2 new pieces today from my shopping expeditions over the Christmas break. The rest of my outfit is some age old pieces that I still love and wear regularly. Mixing the new with the old: it’s what I do!

I’m wearing this Collectif swing coat all the time at the moment, and for good reason. It’s warm and practical and can be thrown over pretty much anything, it’s also got big useful pockets and the enormous faux fur collar is sooooo snuggly.
