Simple Summer Sundress

Sundress cover

Just a quick post today whilst the sunshine lasts! I wore this same dress and cardigan on a chilly day back in March, styled up for the late winter weather. Now the sun is out, this sundress is such an easy piece to throw on without having to think too much about putting an outfit together. One of my favourite things about dresses is how easy they are to wear. Although I wear a lot of separates, I often find it hard to pair the right tops with the right bottoms. With a dress, there’s no need to worry about matching as it’s already done for you!

This dress in particular is so easy to wear. The loose, free flowing shape skims over a not-so-toned summer midriff, and the length is just long enough to be decent without tights. The unique pattern adds a bit of character, and it’s easy to match the green and cream to summer layers and accessories. This Collectif cardigan will be a frequent fixture in my wardrobe for a while yet. The long sleeves are the perfect light summer cover up, and the rich green hue goes with a surprising number of outfits. I’m forever envious of Miss Amy May’s collection of shrugs, she has one for EVERY occasion I’m sure!

Along with a sundress, another versatile wardrobe item for me is a good pair of ankle boots. I often have ankle boot envy when I’m scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest. I have a few low heeled pairs that just go with everything, but there’s always room for more. Actually, there isn’t! I don’t have enough room as it is let alone for everything on my wishlist. One day the enormous walk in closet will be mine. A girl can dream!
