I’d forgotten how much I like this butterfly print dress I picked up last summer. I remember being undecided about which size to get, being a bit in between sizes when I tried it on. I eventually went for the smaller of the two, and I’m really glad I did. After bursting out of another dress last week, I’ve been feeling a bit low in terms of my size, health and fitness in general. It’s definitely been a good start to the week to be able to fit into a smaller dress and being reminded that a broken zip doesn’t necessarily indicate an enormous size gain.
The butterfly and daisy print on this dress is delightfully bright and summery. I also love the asymmetric yellow and black colour blocking, I think it adds a unique touch to a pretty print. Considering it’s not actually summer just yet, I’ve layered up with a cardi and denim jacket. My new(ish) suede OTK boots finish off this transitional spring outfit.
A breeze caught the skirt of my dress just as the shutter went for this shot, and I love it! I really like the ease of wearing this slightly flared skater style dress, and the fabric of this one in particular moves really nicely. I was a bit nervous about wearing these boots at work with bare legs, but I think the high neckline of the dress balances everything out and stops it looking too risqué for the office.
This Primark denim jacket is the perfect spring layering piece. The pale denim wash and slightly cropped length work with so many outfits. I can’t imagine a wardrobe without a denim jacket these days. It was a real bargain buy, and although I don’t tend to shop in Primark much any more, this piece still does the job and I can’t justify buying another just yet. Maybe next season!
