Burgundy, Black and Tartan

Today’s post is a short one – I’ve been so busy trying to migrate my old posts from this year over to the new website and make it look acceptable. I’ve not had too much time to pop out and take pictures or plan any detailed blog content, but that should change soon as I continue to develop this new site now it’s all up and running!

There’s a strong theme of colour and texture going on in today’s outfit. Before I started blogging, I don’t think I realised how much burgundy there was in my wardrobe. I’m a big fan of this muted colour, and pairing it with black always seems to work well. I’ve talked often about my love for fluffy knitwear, and this simple sweater from H&M is one of my favourites. The skirt also brings another texture to the outfit. It has a soft, fleecey feel but it’s lined so it sits really nicely too.

That’s about it for today, those of you who have read previous posts will know how much I love these Caprice boots. They’re just incredibly comfortable, go-with-everything knee high boots. And this jacket is an old favourite too. As you can see below, it’s missing a few buttons! One of my rainy day tasks on the endless list is to find replacements and have a sewing session. I’ll get there one day!
