Since I started blogging, there’s one store that kept popping up on my radar, and it was called & Other Stories. So many of my favourite bloggers would keep linking items from the high street store that looked great. I had a look on their website, but I really wanted to be able to try things on t get an idea of fit. I also only very recently discovered that they are in fact the sister store to H&M, which is one of my favourite budget high street shops. I’m sure you all already know, but a quick look into the history of the H&M informed me that Cos, Weekday, Monki and more are all part of the brand’s family. Every day’s a school day. One of the biggest spring / summer trends doing the rounds at the moment is colour clashing pink and red. Since I started blogging, I’ve become much more aware of trends compared to a few years ago. There are quite a few trends that just aren’t up my street. I’m on the fence about mega ruffles at the moment, for example, and I’ll never be a fan of over-distressed denim. Pink and red together though, well this one I love. Continue reading “Spring Trends – Pink and Red”
OK, so this is kind of a silly post. It was raining today and I didn’t get a chance to get out of the office to take some pictures, so I took them in the office! I’m not the first person to shoot in this glamorous location though, oh no. If any of you are Will Joseph Cook fans, you may recognise this showbiz office from the “Take Me Dancing” video. I had neither the team nor the time to be quite so creative, so my workwear look here is rather more basic. Continue reading “Workwear in the Office”

One day it feels bitterly cold, the next you’re sweltering on public transport and longing for a cool breeze. I’ve got so many ideas for summer styles but the season is just not ready for them yet, so here is today’s winter outfit on a spring day. I bought this jumper on a whim just before Christmas last year. I owned precisely one Christmas style jumper before this. It’s very tasteful, with a grey and white sequinned reindeer design. One Christmas jumper is not enough though, so when I saw this one in the sales in H&M for £10 it was a no brainer. The Fair Isle design is a timeless (albeit wintery) classic, and the black and blue colours go with pretty much everything.

I’m genuinely not sure what was going through my head when I selected this outfit, but I actually really like it. I think the random combination is just on the border of my comfort zone, and lately I’ve been quite pleased with those slightly-more-eccentric outfit choices. The colour palette is still quite simple, which helps keep some level of cohesion. Each aspect of the outfit is quite simple too, it’s together that they’re a bit more bizarre!
