These old, old New Look jeans very nearly went in the charity pile, as the bootcut just wasn’t the right length for me, and I never ended up wearing them. That was until I was reading a post by Kate Hiscox (at wearsmymoney), where she suggests cutting off old bootcut jeans to make a cropped flare. I’m not going to wax lyrical about my love for this Warehouse jumper, as I raved about it a couple of weeks ago and I don’t want to sound like a stuck record. Same goes for this Collectif swing coat, I just love it so much! The houndstooth, the volume, the faux fur – together they make the perfect winter coat. They’re so shiny! I picked up these gold loafers for less than 10 pounds just after Christmas at my favourite high street haunt – New Look . Metallic shoes were all over the high street for the A/W season, and I can’t get enough of them. Continue reading “Gold Loafers”

I really should be working on building my new page but instead I’m taking pictures in the rain and posting here, because it’s what I know and it’s become so familiar now! We’re only 2 weeks into 2017 though, so there’s still plenty of time. It was a miserable and wet Monday, so I’ve gone with my trusty calf length leather DMs (that don’t look like DMs!) and a super old snuggly brown coat with raw seams and Teddy style collar detail.

The last time I wore this coat, it was a beautifully sunny day and I had a lunchtime stroll to Kensington Gardens to grab some shots for a blog post. Today was quite a different story – we had a couple of centimeters of snow last night which has melted now, but the wind is still bitter and temperatures are low.
